Dear Parents and Community Members,

Griffith School is a Professional Learning Community serving approximately 700 culturally diverse K-6th grade students.  Since 2004, Griffith has earned a Performing Plus designation by the Arizona State Department of Education. Reading, Math, Language Arts, Science, P.E., Art, Technology and Library instruction are available to all students. In addition to those classes, we offer a Tier II reading intervention schedule which allows struggling students to receive targeted instruction that enables them to master the skills necessary to be successful readers. Moreover, we look at our data on a regular basis to guide our instruction.

We have a very highly qualified and well-trained staff that serves all students with these values in mind. Located in the central Phoenix corridor, just off the 202 freeway, we are easily accessible and surrounded by a city park, retail stores, and established homes.

Griffith is proud to host so many wonderful volunteers who help make our school so special! These volunteers help our staff and students throughout the week. We have a strong parent group who meet every Friday at our weekly Coffee Talks. And we have parent volunteers "driving" our Walking School Bus students to school each day.

Excellent academic and fine art programs coupled with big-hearted community members and a beautiful neighborhood make for a strong education at Griffith.
