  • How can I help my child learn to spell?

    Every Monday your student receives the spelling words for the week.  In addition they have a spelling homework sheet that is due on Friday.  You can help your student by:

     Making sure they complete the homework and trun it in on Friday

    Help them practice their words.  Have them make flashcards and quiz them on the words.
     
    Ask them to use the words throughout the week.  Track how many times they use the word.

  • How can I help my student learn to read?

    The best way you can help your student learn to read is to read yourself.  Show them the love of reading.  Read aloud to them.

    The next way you can help is to have them practice everyday.  They can reads fiction books, non-fiction books, the newspaper, article on the computer - anything.
