In Balsz, we recognize and celebrate cultural differences. This is what makes our school district so special! We are happy to provide our students, families, staff and community with information on how to cope with current events such as COVID-19 and the protesting of the murder of George Floyd. These events impact the lives of those that we serve and the community at-large. We encourage our families to discuss racism with your children and it's impacts in our society. Unfortunately, the world is processing two pandemics at once, systemic racism and COVID-19, compounded by disparities.

The Balsz School District's Governing Board consists of five elected volunteer community members who serve a four-year term in non-partisan elections to represent the residents within the District's boundaries. The Governing Board plays a critical role in the formulation and approval of policies that guide the operation of the district. Board candidates must reside within the District boundaries for one year prior to being elected to office. Arizona law does not limit the number of terms a member can serve.
